De Oude Kraal Exclusive Food & Wine Club
De Oude Kraal Restaurant and Guest House was founded by Gerhard and Marie Lombard twenty one years ago. The vision was a fine dining restaurant in the Free State, and during these 21 years our 
restaurant has received numerous accolades and awards.
De Oude Kraal has been awarded the American Express Platinum Fine Dining Award for seven consecutive years.
Alongside the Fine Dining aspect of Marie and the restaurant, a well balanced wine list became a necessity, which in turn became a reality through the dedication of Gerhard. He has a vast knowledge of wines, and has formed friendships with a great number of wine estates in South Africa.
Through the years De Oude Kraal has become renowned for our flagship, 5-course, fine-dining dinners and our very special food and wine pairing evenings featuring selected wine estates.
Due to numerous requests by our guests, we are starting a Food & Wine club with a yearly fee of R50pp per month = R600 per year.
Benefits of the food & wine club:
- Keeping members up to date with events in the wine world.
- Opportunity to try new and exciting wines on a regular basis.
- A monthly newsletter, key persons in the wine industry will share some trade secrets or little known facts with all members.
- A different wine farm will be selected each month. We will taste the wines and have a special price for the featured wines.
- Marie will give a recipe each month of a specific dish & wine pairing.
- Lucky draw for a lucky member per month of a hamper.
- The opportunity to reserve a table for our unique Food & Wine evenings of our yearly calendar of events.
Limited Membership
We also wish to organize an exclusive tour of wine farms. This year the tour will be from 9-12 August 2012. We will visit wine farms and enjoy special dinners each evening. A highlight not to be missed.(Additional Cost)
